Pros

Burger King offered great exposure to the corporate environment of the fast food industry and provided excellent networking options for me.

Cons

The downside for me was that you are representing a large company whose sole purpose is selling greasy meat to Americans.

Pros

1. I make about $12 an hour with commision, and i have only been owrking 3 months. 2. Scheduling is very flexible. 3. I am the only white person working at my location. This has given me much more tolerance for othe races, and has also taught me a great deal of spanish. I can speak to the Hispanic people with ease. 4. Managers are great people and are really down to earth. They don't try to be politically corect all the time. 5. The commission system really pushes me to work hard. Some days i can make up to 50-60 dollars in commison while working 9-10 hours. 6. This job has taught me a vast amount of skills that can carry over into future employment. 7. being a senior in high schoo, I have noticed a considerable increase in my grades. I can attribute this to my job. Working at BK has made me more organized, focused and ambitious in my schoolwork.

Cons

1. As i am the only white person working at my location with the majority speaking Spanish as a first language, there is a substantial language barrier between myself and my coworkers. 2. Sometimes I have to work 10 hours + a day. This is not necessarily a con because working long hours can be expected at most jobs. This also just means I am making more money and getting valuable work experience.

Pros

The benefit package was good, also a good training program. Upper management were pretty good with communication flowing down to lower management.

Cons

The hours were long, not enough pay for in store management making it hard to attract quality managers. Shortage of managers meant even longer hours and working on your off day.
