Pros

can see the philosophy of 3g and how they embrace the 3rd world brazilian values of class systems

Cons

Claim of meritocracy is really merito-crap. Squeeze every last penny out of the lower ranks to enrich the already rich.

One big hell hole

Pros

Miami is nice... for a temporary kind of thing

Cons

Pay sucks, hours sucks, people suck... Extremely hostile work environment with an incompetent mgmt. Turnover is extremely high as they will RIF and find a warm body to replace. You'll be lucky if your mgr is competent. There is no work/life balance as your are expected to be on the clock 14hrs a day, taking your salary into consideration you might as well flip burgers for an hourly pay... you might get paid more. Mgmt seems to make rash decisions and everything as a result is poorly planned. Also, perks seem to be disappearing as they figure out ways to meet their bottom line. Promotion? If you do make one of their many cuts, you may get a field promotion... which just means more work for less money. Don't expect to make a career out of this place though, promotion or not you won't get very far unless you are 1) brasilian 2) friend of a 3G dude 3) friend of a 3G dude.

Pros

The potential for making a large bonus is one of the positive things about working at BKC( though with the state of its business it is unlikely that it will be paid). Since 3G Capital purchased the company, it is a shadow of its former self. Once the employer of choice in South Florida, Burger King is now at the bottom of the list of good places to work. You will meet a few nice people.

Cons

The work environment resembles a sweat shop. The sullen faces of employees (the few that are left that remember the pre-3G days) greet you as you walk through the doors. The new and younger replacement employees who form the management trainee soon realize that they were sold a bag of lies once they walk through the doors. For a multi-billion dollar company, incompetence pervades despite the supposed pedigree of the new management and new hires. The business strategy is throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. Due to the frequent layoffs, employees openly joke about getting fired and not leaving until they get a package. If you are not male, Brazilian, young or have some connection to 3G, then you won't go far at Burger King. Incompetent people are in charge. You will be stuck with low salary, terrible benefits and a depressing work environment.
