      Great name to have on your CV, salary very below par, weak senior management and no recognition for work done

      Pros

      Good Job security. Good name to have on your CV (carries weight when looking for another job).

      Cons

      Senior Management in UK are relatively weak. Decision making is slow. This can be a positive, but can also result in heaps of inefficiency and uneccessarily slow, as is the case in BNPP UK. Being a branch, you are still subject to the whims of Paris via Brussels. IT Service desk & facilities are the worst in class. Some systems were still not working when I left. Worst of all, a lot of the front line staff, including senior management simply gave the impression that they did not want to be there (stuck, because they can't find anything elsewhere?). Advice to Senior Management

      - brand-name company, looks good on your resume - energetic, dynamic team - can be very challenging

      Cons

      - management picks favorites.... if you are not the one, start worrying about your job - all the deadlines are usually set on yesterday - no trainings...

      Pros

      A decent top tier CIB, with strong risk management culture and recognised technical strengths. Not so much in the US.

      Cons

      Mainly european and very French. It is very hard to find non French speakers at top management level and this is unlikely to change in the future.
