Pros

* Work with big names in the industry * Access to a useful network of travel alerts, promotional offers, and other corporate benefits * Half hour early release on Thursdays

Cons

* Heavily sales-oriented -- customer deals drive development and dictate roadmaps, leading to rapidly shifting priorities that aren't necessarily best for the long-term health of the product * Architecture decisions often dictated by executives and middle management with low technical literacy * Support dated technologies and legacy code with little room to negotiate for internal improvements * Patchwork of integrations resulting from a product portfolio built through aggressive acquisitions * Compensation $10,000/year below industry standard for my field and experience

Pros

Broad portfolio of products for life sciences. Great vision for industry solutions based on integrated suite of products. Very talented group of people standing behind the products.

Cons

Trying to be the "SAP" of life sciences but not there. Having a truly integrated suite of products is years off and delivery on promises is suspect. Too many people are getting frustrated and leaving. Belief that customers will pay large sums of money for solutions that are still only a concept.

Pros

Great to be part of Dassault Systemes and feel like there was room for growth inside the company. Benefits were great.

Cons

Was part of a team purchased purely to make BIOVIA more "well rounded" but the first thing they did was start cutting our staff. Management didn't even attempt to cleanly integrate our personnel into the company before deciding whom to fire. Promises to keep our office local were thrown out the window within 3 months, moved our space further into the bay area increasing the commute for 18 of the 20 people in the office.
