Pros

they have a high staff turnover so your likely to meet at least one person that you like!

Cons

literally every other reason there is!, no money, no progression, get treated like an idiot, terrible contracts, no respect for staff, 20 days holiday, no sick pay, managers dont even get an honest salary, area managers complete morons

Pros

1) If you love meeting and talking to all kinds of people then this is the job for you. 2) You'll be bringing in some form of a measly wage. 3) If you love rodents then you'll love the warehouses.

Cons

1) Discount is a low 10%, yeah thanks for the 1p off every pound I won't be spending in your shop. 2) Minimum wage is an absolute INSULT for the hard work I put it. I have to lug furniture down from 10ft tall shelves and carry it on my own to peoples cars for £5.13. What a joke... 3) 100% off all non-management staff are aged 16-20 because the company refuses to pay higher than minimum wage. They deliberately sacked all staff 21+ last year. 4) Annual PROUD meeting where they make all staff turn up one evening to watch a Microsoft Power point presentation that looks like it's been made by a 4 year old. Very inspiring. 5) Racism, ageism, sexism, homophobia is RIFE in most stores, especially amongst management. This is something I've experienced myself. 6) Every manager hates each other... Seriously, I've heard many moan about it each other. Store Managers often clash with Area Managers because they don't give the Store Managers any freedom to run "their" stores. 7) Most customers are 60+ year old's who have nothing better than to constantly annoy you and personally blame you for not having the item they want in, or the cast of Jeremy Kyle giving you lip round the store. 8) Promotion is absolutely impossible unless you're a good looking female with big assets or personally know the manager outside of work. I've known managers to employ and promote their best friends within weeks over staff who have been there for years and are the perfect candidate for a promotion.
