Pros

Good benefits especially pension, initially very flexible with working from home.

Cons

Low wages, promotion of well-being not followed up. All employees forced back into the office 3 days a week with no notice and no real explanation as to why. Promised quick career progression but this is very dependent on your leader. You won’t get special treatment working for such a big company who can replace you easily.

Pros

Great benefits, equal parental leave, very flexible, pension is good, Wellbeing framework.

Cons

Aviva is a huge company and it can at times be a little too obvious that you are a number and not an individual. There are big differences from department to department between the ethos of leadership. Some are very old school and regressive, others forward-thinking open, and adaptive. Focus on share price is a sore subject amongst many, and this gets much more focus strategically than customers or employees. Oh and Aviva criminally underpay vs comparable jobs at other companies in Fin Serv/EB industries. Diversity is shocking in some areas.
