Pros

People are really willing to help on the whole. Work is generally interesting Aviva is data rich so there’s loads of opportunities for analysis and exploratory work Benefits are pretty good. There’s lots of opportunities to move around, whether that’s secondment or internal moves.

Cons

Office Occupancy feels archaic and the reasoning behind the minimum target is basically ‘because I said so’. Leadership is pretty poor, a lot managers tend to be downright rude and condescending or apathetic. A lot of managers are technical so it’s difficult for them to advocate for their employees properly or understand their work. Progression feels pretty hard , there’s normally no clear direction as to how to progress or pathways for development. Inclusion and diversity feels like talking shop and the leadership don’t really seem interested. They don’t seem to engage with the inclusivity and diversity teams within Aviva or even recognise how multi-faceted it is. Whenever feedback is submitted from anonymous surveys , nothing seems to be actioned and leadership don't seem to take accountability for making improvements and listening to employee feedback. People can sometimes rest on their laurels a bit and allow the more junior employees to do the donkey work.
