Low pay, toxic culture Not all it's cracked up to be
Pros
Free onsite medical. Ice machine and water bottle fill up. Newish and clean. Oh, nice expensive gear if you work in the front office. Used to be $400 headphones and you get wireless keyboard and mouse. I'd personally rather have more money in my pocket than fancy Bluetooth peripherals. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Cons
Low pay. Toxic culture. Cliques. They should probably rethink their HR structure.. Unprofessional conversations in front of co workers from management. They don't take cybersecurity seriously enough, even after being hacked and victims of ransomware. And ostracize you if you do. The pay is horrible (Labeling Systems Tech) with the amount of label inspections you will be doing, you should be getting paid $35 - $65 an hour (Check out ALKU if you want to confirm). To do the level of label inspections they require you to complete. They don't even give enough in performance reviews to cover inflation, which means you're losing purchasing power! Going backwards. (0% - 8% is the range, you can only get 8% if you get promoted and 4% rating which doesn't happen. So expect 2% raise, when inflation in the past year alone is 5% inflation rate. And typically 2.5% on average prior pandemic. Their PRO argument is this - they cater lunch (which is really nothing to write home about, most people bring their lunch. Bones have been found in turkey meatloaf). Trip of a lifetime after 5 years of slave labor to get $2500 roughly to go somewhere cool if you want to, which with covid and having to be vaccinated to go places makes that one not worth it. They pay sutures like $12 hour starting out. There are so many better jobs in this area, that dont require you to work in a clean room environment (no makeup or jewelry) and gown in up and down every time you enter and leave (plus safety glasses and those blue doctors face mask, no cloth ones).
