Pros

If you are a software engineer, a big NO, never ever think about joining ARM. Good for others

Cons

ARM is good place for non-Software peoples. Below review is for software engineers(or equivalent) at Bangalore office 1) Managers are just playing game with the global company. They have established a big team just for few simple tools so that they can relax at their will and at the same time global company will think they are doing great job. 2) Work is very monotonous which doesnt need any intellect at all and no knowledge gain over time. So, skill developement in 1 year is almost same as that will be in 10 years. 3) Strict work timing: managers dont care how hard or smart work you have done, they will just see your presence or the work timings. As there will not be any skill developement over time or there are no such work which required smart or hard work , what should be the measure of your work performance then? Its only the "work timing". 4) Software peoples have adapted the existing culture. They dont socialize much. They just complete their work timing and rush home. Also most managers dont so much productive work, they just pass time in team meetings , coffee or facebook etc. or simply "work" from home.

Thank you for leaving a review. I'm disappointed to read your review, as it is eye opening to hear some of the things you are describing from the Bangalore office. While most people think of ARM as a hardware company, in truth we are about 50% hardware and 50% software engineers. If half of the engineers at the company are not happy, we definitely would not be as successful as we are today. I will pass along this review to the relevant parties and if you do have additional feedback, please do reach out to your local HR Business Partner. Without feedback, we wouldn't know anything was wrong! -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager

Pros

Believe me. No pros in this firm, at Bangalore office. Read the cons below to know more. There are only cons. Its like a hell .

Cons

If you joining as a software engineer, senior software engineer, verification or senior verification engineer, please don't, you will regret. Very strict regarding timing, only for non-managers. Managers have no rules, no work. They are smart enough to prove you wrong if you question them. That's why Indians are so keen to be managers, unlike British or Americans who believe in work. Managers at Bangalore office highly misuse their position. And HRs speak what the managers ask them to say. Generally the managers of these idiot managers are in US/UK so they don't have a clue. They believe whatever these managers tell them.

Pros

- Listens and acts on employees feedback - Healthy work/life balance - Employees are encouraged to take an initiative - Some of the best technical guys around are here!

Cons

- Recent origanization growth rate is very rapid. There is a number of scalability issues, mostly in IT area - Lund site is (and feels like) a satellite one. No serious career graph or career variety there - Pay is on an average level, not extraordinary, plus no overtime payment at all.

Thanks for leaving a review! As you mentioned, ARM has grown rapidly in the last few years which is both a good and a bad thing. Good in the sense that we're doing great as a business to need to scale up very fast. Bad in the sense that we did not have the proper infrastructures and policies in place to reflect a larger organization. It's been a bit of a growing pain, and we thank employees for the feedback that we've needed to improve things internally. For compensation, salary is only one component of the total rewards package, which also includes RSUs, ESPP and annual bonuses. If you have any additional feedback, I please do bring it to the attention of your HR Business Partner, as they are there to support your teams to make ARM a great place to work! -Rick C.
