Pros

Salary is mostly competitive. Stock performing adquately.

Cons

Complete lack of technical career path. No meritocracy and a completely unethical staffing process. You get ahead by knowing people from previous companies (typically Qcom dropouts) or you hire your relatives. Catastrophically bad management within SOC teams. Nobody can put a schedule together, hold people accountable, or deliver on time. Most of the group is just freeloading. New hires have nothing to do.

Pros

Culture is top notch. It's honestly refreshing coming from other places in the tech industry. I truly believe in the mission and that this company could be the next trillion dollar company. With our current trajectory and Rene at the helm I think we have the ambition and the market opportunities in front of us to be successful. It's been a long time since I've been in a company that's truly mission driven.

Cons

Some times I wonder if the pace at which we're working is going to meet the ambitions and realities of keeping up in this industry. I don't think we're using the most efficient tools and I think we don't have all the right people in parts of the business that will get us there. While I appreciate the slower pace than some of the bigger tech companies, I think there is a balance that needs to be struck with what the company was and what it needs to be moving forward. I see it first hand every day how obstinate folks in this company can be to change for the sake of "this is the way we've always done it".

It’s great to hear how strongly you connect with Arm’s culture and mission, and that you see the scale of the opportunity ahead. Ambition at this level means we need extraordinary teams who can adapt quickly and embrace change. You’re right that balancing what has made Arm successful with what’s needed to push us forward is critical, and we’re working hard to speed up decision making, introduce better tools, and eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy. Thank you for your feedback, it’s exactly this kind of perspective that helps us evolve and keep pace with the demands of building the future of compute.

Pros

Everything, this company is amazing, I've never had such a good onboarding experience, and first 6 months in a role.

Cons

The only thing that can be seen as a con is that it's not fully remote. But even that's not a bad thing, it's 40% in the office.

We’re delighted to hear your first impression in Manchester has been so positive and that your onboarding and first six months have set you up for success. Creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and part of something extraordinary from day one is exactly what we aim for. While we know our hybrid model isn’t fully remote, it’s designed to balance flexibility with the benefits of in-person collaboration, innovation, and community. Thank you for sharing such encouraging feedback, it’s great to see how strongly you’ve connected with life at Arm so early in your journey.
