      Good place to work, recovering from economy

      Pros

      Community, respect for others, high professional standards, very good location, variety of research areas for chemcial industry, focus on green tech, recently updated IT to Windows 7 and improved access to internet

      Cons

      Organization suffers from "silo" mentality so info is not readily shared between groups. Sometimes too much focus on "going to the right school", Lotus Notes is painful to use and example of decisions made in France dictating US

      Pay is excellent Benefits are excellent Work/Life balance is good Safety is highly rated Pension plans are good for union employees

      Cons

      Never know if management will actually take your advice. France owned company means you are just a number. Many plants are shutting down including my plant

      Great people to work with.

      In general there was great communication by management; unfortunately some of the supervisors should not have been allowed to manage people.
