      An amazingly rewarding but very challenging place to work.

      Pros

      The scale and breadth of the work is energizing, and I am free to solve problems in just about any way I like. The people are also generally charged, smart and inspiring making it fun to meet and work with most everyone.

      Cons

      Projects are often under resourced and overly ambitious, creating an frenetic unfocused environment that can sometimes be hard to get simple things done. The frugal mindset is sometimes just cheap, which can cost more in the long run. It's okay to spend money when it ends up being well amortized.

      Pros

      Learn a lot about the mindset needed to run a business effectively - more than you can learn at most other companies

      Cons

      Bad work-life balance, too much politics, lack of recognition - especially if you come in with lot of experience. At Amazon people who "grow" at Amazon coming in as fresh college grads tend to do well- because local Amazon business skills matter more than your technical capabilties. You have to unlearn lot of stuff to be effective at Amazon.

      1. High stock price and when most of the bonus is in stocks it makes a significant difference 2. Innovation, challenging work environment. 3. If you are geek this might be best place to work 4. Code-code-code. If you like to code this is one of the best place on earth 5. Very high hiring bar, ensures you always ends up learning from your co-workers

      Cons

      1. Limited career growth, organization is very flat 2. Have not completely evolved in internal processes management 3. Frustrating internal tools to get work done 4. Not much appreciation
