Pros

This is a company that truly returns back to its employees. The company shares with its employees the successes of this business. Even so better than that, this company actually shares the profits with the employees. They include us in everything so we feel like a family. I am glad to be part of this winning team as we keep winning!

Cons

37.5 hours vs. 40 hours

Pros

There are some good people working for Allianz, Building could be nice if they got rid of tenants

Cons

CEO has rented floors out to other companies which means no working space, meeting rooms or privacy. People on these floors are mostly disgusting and dress like they are going to lay on the couch all day. CEO Tells employees they are valuable then takes away their work space, PTO, benefits, and puts in a new system for year reviews so there's a new way to keep you from getting raises because there is no process or metrics. No one understands the new system or is following any of the meeting and coaching guidelines. Company does not respond to HR issues other than to say senior leadership members are human and sometimes throw temper tantrums. Company ignores negative scores. Once you are a director or above you can basically act anyway you want and get away with it but it takes forever to get a promotion unless you are somebody high up's favorite. Operations people are treated like 2nd class citizens.

Allianz Partners Response

We’re sorry you feel this way. We recently implemented a $15/hr minimum wage for all Operations associates. That is well above benchmark for Richmond and call center employees both nationally and locally. Last year, we also increased our Paid Time Off program by 3 days for all employees and remain committed to covering 80% of the healthcare costs which is above market for the quality plans we offer. Sorry to hear that you haven’t met with your manager yet for your quarterly check-in’s. You are correct. You should be having discussions with your manager regarding your priorities and career development at least once/quarter. Although the quarterly discussions do not have a performance rating associated with them, the year-end discussion does. Associates remain eligible for a merit increase for 2016 based on performance. We even built in a fourth performance tier this year to align with our pay-for-performance strategy. The building is a Class A facility which is not standard for call center space. We provide more square footage per employee than is standard and have amenities such as a gym, cafeteria, coffee shop and large open spaces. AWP appreciates your feedback. We offer multiple avenues for current employees to discuss concerns if you don’t feel comfortable talking to HR. You may talk with our Chief Legal Officer or if you prefer to share concerns anonymously, search our intranet for the available options.
