Great ideas, intelligent employees, but they just need a little more rope

Pros

A really relaxed, laid back "office" atmosphere. Employees regularly wore shorts and t-shirts to work and can seamlessly work from home whenever they felt like it. Some very smart project managers and business knowledge at the middle level management. Uses all sources of technology from MS to open source, depending on the project.

Cons

Uses all sources of technology from MS to open source. This is really a Microsoft development shop. Old products in use for years that need to be replaced but no one can finish new projects, patches, or updates. Drowning in their own faults. Absolutely no communication. Old employees run the underground here. If you ain't one of them, you ain't going to be happy here.

Pros

The insurance benefits were excellent. Vacation and holiday was average. The greatest benefit was the friendly, casual work environment amongst the "worker bees".

Cons

Upper management was unprofessional, dishonest, and actually encouraged illegal labor practices. Human resources failed the entire employee pool by refusing to address very real issues. Sexual harrassment complaints were never handled and other complaints were passed on to other (non-HR) employees to handle. No one in upper management was ever held accountable by the CEO for any negative actions. A completely unethical,unorganized organization.

Company cares about employees and customers. Interesting work. Many different customers. Good benefits. Good culture. Good people. Family atmosphere. Good skills.

Cons

Workforce spread too thin. Lot of overtime at end of year. Not connected to other parts of the company.
