Pros

Accenture has a very good brand name and has a strong legacy of consulting in India. It has some very old and good client relationships. It also provides new joiners and freshers the opportunity to work at client sites very quickly and be in front of the clients. It has good formalized training program and it is mandatory to go for international trainings, where one gets a chance to meet with people from other geogrpahies. The projects can range from ho-hum to some very good projects, which deliver a lot of value. Peers are very helpful and are willing to provide assistance when needed

Cons

Management is a big downer. The lack of communication leads to a lot of rumors and distrust. The culture of the company tends to get hierarchical where the senior executive would not talk to anybody except their direct reports. Management consulting is a small group but it seems like ages before a partner would notice your presence. The nature of work totally depends on the situation. Some of the work sold is just outright crap. Being a publicly traded company, achieving revenue targets is important so the company tries to be everything to everybody. No clear direction of management consulting and no clear standards in hiring.

Pros

1) Maximum flexibility in my job - I am able to work at home or at Accenture's offices around the bay area. 2) Great people - i have found my colleagues to be very committed to helping us grow as a company. 3) Great training opportunities - hundreds of online courses that we can take anytime, and many live courses that help us develop new skills. 4) Once you have been there a few years and people get a sense of what you can do, opportunities abound.

Cons

1) We are a huge company - 180,000 - and you need strong communication capabilities to get noticed. 2) You have to be a bit pushy to compete with all the Type A personalities in Accenture.
