Pros

1, High performance in some ways, especially in oraganizing the global network, knowledge sharing. 2, Good trainings for junior employees, great place to develop business skills. 3, Positive encouraging working enviorment.

Cons

1, The company has changed its strategy from a traditional consulting firm to a global outsourcing firm. SEs make every effort to outsource each single project to developing countries. As a result I have seen the quality of the work declined significantly and the client got hurt. 2, Accenture's career path is unable to attract those senior IT technical Architects/specialist with deep industry knowledge. Top performers were promoted to Manager and lost interests to technical skills. Most of the projects are full of junior analysts/programmers. Junior employees screw up projects frequently.

Pros

- Will learn more than your peers at any other company if you get the right roles and change clients every 12-18 months - Extensive access to training and information (e.g., Gartner reports, internal reports, example deliverables and assets from past engagements and research) - Motivated "make it happen" colleagues

Cons

- Long hours and singular focus on work/client - Tremendous resource growth has caused significant degradation in the caliber of people - Lost focus on delivering the "guarantee". Originally the idea was a client paid for higher priced consultants, but knew if they pulled Accenture in to do the job it would get done. Now the prices have eroded and much of the work commoditized to almost eliminate that buyer value

Pros

The people that Accenture attracts for the most part are superb. There is a great diversity of backgrounds and people with many different skill sets. The ability to work from home when needed is also helpful. Accenture also provides very good training courses.

Cons

HR is highly frustrating to work with and very ineffective, to the point of being the last straw when people make a decission to leave. Salaries are well below market rate - especially for the type of people and skills they deliver. Each year, at least in the US, it seems as though the people that make the company what it is are de-valued by lack of promotions, lack of increased pay, lay-offs and those who are left have to pick up the slack without any compensation or recognition.
