      Good place for an undergrad, not so sure about later

      Pros

      - Highly structured environment - Lots of very interesting people, at least within the Management Consulting workforce - Opportunities to work internationally (although quite limited for the management consuting workforce)

      Cons

      - Too big and publicly listed, very little sense of belonging to the the firm as a whole - Many underqualified people in the IT consulting section - the firm had to grow fast, and has significantly lowered its standards for recruiting Analysts - No control whatsoever on your industry, and the assignment to Financial Services, Energy etc. is quasi impossible to change.

      Pros

      1)Lots of projects 2)Trainings (esp in Avanade) are good.Good chance to learn new Microsoft skills. 3)Flexible work timings(Though varies from project to project) 4)Direct Client exposure 5)More accountability and Responsibility to work.It provides a greater path to take more initiatives in technical area. 6)Managers do have technical bent of mind and understand the system.

      Cons

      1)Screwed up Appraisal process.Appraisal greatly depends on the current project the time of Appraisal where little importance given to previous feedbacks. 2)Client is God over here so a little bad feedback from client can screw up your whole appraisal and promotion. 3)Pay discrimination with laterals. 4)Managers are only technical no leadership skills. 5)No onsite opportunities.Only fake onsite opportunities are promised at the time of leaving.Long term onsites are absent except 2-3 months travel. 6)Less respect for employess,poor work life balance,Poor Reward and appriciation. 7)Supervisors are more about client focused would hardly focus on sub-ordinates productivity enhancements. 8)High attrition,works with contract employess in many projects compromising quality. 9)Dim chance for lateral career shift.
