Pros

Coworkers actually make long 12 1/2 hour shifts go quicker

Cons

Management was awful, treated employees like crap. Work your tail off to get treated bad. Every other weekend you work, while supervisors sit in office and never help on lines!!

Pros

Benefits: health care premiums 100%covered; 19 days PTO; 1 week paid parental leave after 1 year service

Cons

Corporate greed. I worked in the Charlottesville branch, which used to be part of another corporation. Shortly after Abbott bought Alere, there was an all employees meeting broadcast from Chicago, and upper management was talking about how exciting it was that Dengue Fever and Malaria were on the rise because it boosted profits. With newly released tests for COVID, I shudder to think what the breading misty sounds like about this pandemic.
