Pros

Benefits, ability to hide in a big company, salary, health insurance, 401k, stock options, networking with other divisions, anyone can get in apparently, easy interview process

Cons

Lack of proper leadership, existing leadership is allowed bad behavior due to lack of other options, or "seniority" . lean environment (1 person doing 2 people's jobs) no understanding of work/life balance. Gossip environment heavy within even the leadership level. Stressful environment always. Lack of IT and admin support, so plan to troubleshoot your own issues. Taking on SJM acquisition will cause all matters to worsen.

Pros

- Great individual contributors who are highly overlooked and undervalued. Very collaborative and helpful environment amongst peers, but don't count on it at a management level. - Benefits package (medical, dental, etc.) was good.

Cons

Are you guys thirsty? Be sure to ask the Directors to have some of their Kool-Aid because they’re drinking enough for everyone. - Regulatory has had ~40% turn over within the last two years but management doesn't bat an eye and refuses to acknowledge that there's a problem. No need for layoffs because people are running away as fast as they can. - 10-12 hour days are considered the “normal” baseline and it’s all about being seen in the office as late as possible as opposed to working smart and getting done in a shorter amount of time. - Work morale and office culture is abysmal despite great individual workers. Directors tend to hone in on what employees do wrong and criticize rather than appreciating and praising what they’re doing right. - Don't even think about getting promoted. It’ll only come if you’re already on the cusp of quitting or they're worried that you will quit, to which management will panic and throw everything they have toward you. Their best interest is with themselves and not losing face, not the growth of their employees. - Considering a contract position? Save yourself and your time. It is extremely hard to get converted. By the time you're trained, it's time for you to leave anyway.

Pros

Good pay, decent benefits, lots of overtime, if management likes you, you can get away with anything. Free protein bars. Can walk around and not work for long periods of time.

Cons

Nepotism, bullying, immaturity, favoritism, harassment, racism, too much overtime, dysfunctional work place, more time spent walking around complaining than working. Hostile work environment. Work place substance abuse.
