      Pros

      Great benefits and very happy employees. Abbott treats its employees very well and there is fairly frequent communications throughout the company keeping people aware of business issues.

      Cons

      Very specific nature of work and there is a risk of being siloed within a department. Not much exposure beyond one function.

      Fast moving, opportunities for advancement in an ever changing environment. management always willing to listen and for one to take risks.

      Cons

      The capabilities of people in general are not as high as some of other organisations I have worked in. Promotions may not always be on merit.

      Pros

      It was a very diverse work setting. I was able to get involved in many different projects. Everyone treated me with a lot of respect. It was a great place to work!

      Cons

      The site was currently going through an out-sourcing. The on-site jobs were currently being cut. Less opportunity for site movement.
