Cycle after cycle of lay-offs, there is almost no one left there except very few employees, a whole lot of bosses, and some contractors. The full time employees org chart looks like an upside down pyramid where there are more bosses than workers. The people still working there have to pick up the responsibilities of those who left in addition to their own, which is almost impossible to accomplish after few lay-offs. Abbott Corporate is dissecting this whole company and sending the work overseas where it's cheaper, it's just matter of time before they close down the whole site.

Politics, unfair hiring practices, no accountability for senior management. Hierarchical, no real development pathways just ride the coattails of whomever has the most influence. Tend to be on the low end for compensation in the Bay area.
