Pros

There is a lot to learn from a business perspective. Use of top notch hardware and some high level middleware from IBM. Lots of benefits besides salary.

Cons

Too much people to compete and very few promotions make it hard to grow. Such a large company puts many hurdles to be able to accomplish even simple work. Long working hours.

Pros

Excellent place for first jobbers to learn technical aspects of business and gain solid foundation/knowledge of industry. Started off in actuarial services, technical studies and personal lines underwriting. Generally a well run company - ranging for systems, processes to products

Cons

As you progress, compensation (base salary and bonuses) does not keep pace with market. In fact it's a well known fact in my market/region (Asia Pacific) that AXA is one of the worst paymasters. Sadly, this becomes the main push factor to move on to other competitors after several years with this otherwise great company
