Pros

The firm thrived on the legacy of its founder, Barr Rosenberg, which attracted brilliant people. Its intellectual culture allowed for great personal/work life balance. There are many brilliant people with whom I look forward to work again.

Cons

The senior management from the parent company has systematically seized control of the company through nepotism and nationalism. There was much bitterness between the employees and the management. It seems as though the conflict has become explosive, and the parent company and the senior management took control of the firm at the expense of its clients. The majority of its asset under management, down 80% from its peak, is presumed to be primarily of the parent company. There is no future, period.
