Pros

Lots of office space due to less people

Cons

There were people being let go each week. Many hard working. Then they announced 23% of people are being let go. They said there's a list, but they won't say who. So people are phreaked out, on eggshells. There have been 3 meetings this week, all talking about layoffs. Not a great place to work. Worst this is only the first year of layoffs. Two more years to go!

Pros

Quality Work Learning experience only if you get a chance to sit with the SMEs, in other countries

Cons

Useless leadership Management from Genpact Looks like Genpact has moved all their non productive staff to AIG India operation. HR also being from Genpact, does not take any action against the managers, who also in turn are from Genpact. Sr. Leadership( also Genpact) are trying to impose their cost cutting technique here as well. Management being f Genpact is still under impression that this is a BPO process, please wake up and understand that this is a captive unit of AIG and not some third party, and please dont refer business partners as Client.

Pros

Good 401k that is it.

Cons

First of all - NO RAISES. Second - NO and i do mean ZERO Human Resources department. It's all done via kiosk through Workday so you don't even have a live person to speak with about any issues if you wanted to. 3) They do not give cost of living increases thus you are FROZEN in time. Even if you are a "top performer" you might get a percentage or two (yes single digit percentage) on your STI but that amounts to next to nothing. So only way is for those with industry knowledge and experience is to go somewhere else to get close to market value. 4. Now they have outsourced everything to the Philippines so next to impossible to get any systems issues resolved. Was told they only give $50k per/year to the IT department for maintenance, thus you have an outdated almost unusable system to attempt to work on that routinely crashes (sometimes multiple times per/day no exaggeration) and can take up to 5 -10 minutes just to enter a check for a claim payment. Very antiquated and no way to do even the most basic things every other insurance carrier in the US can do with little to no difficulty. All in all very sad as the people here are top notch and should be retained/ appreciated and rewarded even in the most basic of ways but they are not.
