Pros

More to learn here than anywhere else - tons of human resources to look to - if you can establish that you know what you are doing you will be left alone to do it. Great co-workers - constantly meeting former employees who have moved on but still miss the the environment here.

Cons

You will earn a decent salary, but it is unlikely you will get rich here unless you are in the very top echelon. Also, it is annoying to still occasionally here AIG jokes and to have to put up with petty, pot shots from competitors (including people at competitors who used to be here and left because it was clear they were getting promoted as they thought they should be - even if it was clear to everyone else why they were not rising in the ranks).

Pros

The company values talent and is very willing to train and to develop employees. Departments work well together. Also they value good work. and reward generously.

Cons

Certain departments are way understaffed. Work hours are extremely long for some people. Could have looked into temporary help or internship support.
