Pros

Large company with significant resources. In my opinion, AIG currently has a good reputation in spite of the well known problems the company experienced a few years ago.

Cons

Similar to most large insurance companies, a lot of bureaucracy. Some of it could be eliminated.

Pros

Some excellent people have been working there for more than 20 years. AIG is very loyal to those who are loyal to them.

Cons

Company going through many tranisitions & downsizing due to economy and federal government intervention. No job stability. Sr managment lacking in effective ommunication.
