Pros

Initially high starting salary Location of Corporate Office has nice views. Nice area downtown; good restaurants; right next to the Seaport.

Cons

Culture is still not team oriented. Lower level decision making is not rewarded and often penalized due to probably the worst RPR system on the planet! Performance is not measured based on accomplishment. Performance is measured based on collective voting by managers who may or may not know what you do (old GE model) using an equal distribution between groups of jobs that are put together with no connection in functionality. This was obviously a "knee jerk" reaction to the public outcry of executive salaries after the bailout and was not well thought out.

Pros

It's growth in the marketplace, it's competetiveness with other companies, it's relationships with the brokers

Cons

The salaries are not competitive, they favor hiring kids straight from college for higher position versus promoting from within. They frown upon employees using their sick time, even though they give us 8 days of it a year, we have a VP in client services who is fantatical to the point of bullying/harrassment in his attempts for us to be healthier as a means to not call in sick. We have managers who try to make us give them reasons we are using sick days.

Pros

Pay is above average. Opportunity for increase & advancements if you speak up what your needs are. Management is fair. Managers are nice and supportive except for a couple of not so good ones but left the company soon after informed of Lay off.

Cons

Communication needs improvement. There are employees who are motivated, hardworking & determined to learn the industry and do well but the resources aren’t clear, organized & confusing. Need managers who are patient, empathetic & willing to help employees learn & do well. Afterall, customer service is the what makes the company. Company’s like AIG/Corebridge Financial need to stop sending the jobs off shore! AMERICA NEEDS THE JOBS IF ITS GOING TO SERVIVE. The customers are telling you they do NOT like speaking to reps outside of the country & handling their money.
