Pros

Good benefits, exposure to large blocks of business

Cons

No incentive to do well, good employees get locked in to their current position with no raises and are not allowed to seek better internal opportunities. Very bad morale due to many years of no salary increase, huge turnover at all levels of employment. Way too many mid level managers not doing any work but getting paid more due to seniority and knowing the right people.

Pros

The only Pro at AIG are the benefits.

Cons

They make unrealistic production requirements for their employees. This makes everyone very stressed and unhappy. People are afraid to take lunches and even go to the bathroom sometimes so that they can meet their numbers. Also, they treat people who have any type of health issues very poorly upon their return. I left for 7 months for breast cancer and when I returned my manager had very little compassion for many of the challenges I was still dealing with.
