Pros

ABB offers a great large-scale and international environment to grow and develop in your career if you are motivated. There are lots of opportunities to learn: in trainings and on the job. ABB can be a great stepping stone if you are willing to make sacrifices to put in more than 120% effort and as a result get more work experience than you would be able to get from smaller companies during twice the same period.

Cons

The attitude towards people leaves a lot to be desired: - people are often viewed as numbers and cost only - due to cost sensitivity not enough resources to handle incoming workload - not enough innovation and development to automate manual activities and reduce workload - high workload causing many employees to burn out and have various mental health problems - also contributing to attrition - work-life balance and healthy way of working is advocated in theory, but not supported in practice - management often operating with biases without oversight or consequences
