I found majorly question was revolving around release version/sub-version of the software/tools/languages, I guess their intention is to validate whether candidate really worked on these or not but according to me, it is really a worst manner to identify a candidate.
Varies. Interviewers will drill down into skills/knowledge depth until they identify areas of weakness. Once "depth" is reached, they will attempt to determine if you admit you're at depth or try to fake your way through it.
