Our company is looking for a technology leader that has been a trusted advisor to their business partners. Can you provide an example in your past experience where you successfully influenced the business to go in a certain direction?
Describe a time you went out of your way to help a client or make their event better.
I was asked about my experience with a particular software package.
Have you handled major systems replacements and worked to manage several other projects at the same time to ensure interoperability.
Asking open ended questions while expecting very brief answers. No indication of right or wrong. Technical questions were very straight forward and easily within experience/ability level.
I was asked about my management experience.
Give an example when you have to blackout the implemented solution from production?
The leadership team tended to be "out of step" with current trends in industry so there were not any difficult or unexpected questions. What was unexpected was a comment regarding a degree of disbelief in my well documented experience. In retrospect, that may have been more of a reflection on the time it takes to make progress on more initiatives due to the culture there.
