I was forced to decide whether or not to accept in only 2 days. My colleagues also only got 2 days. I felt that this was strange and unrealistic. I should have taken their hiring process as a warning sign because it was the exact same pattern once I got to PNU. Do it our way or get out.

The dean asked me if I'm the kind of person that feels compelled to swear around the students (haha!). He was trying to convey that there is a certain teaching etiquette that some instructors don't adhere.
