I was asked about my background and why I thought I would be a good fit for the position.

I don't think this is the right job for you? I don't see how you would be a great fit for the role & position? I've never had this as the starting point for any interview. They usually sell the role and ask for experiences aligning with the job.

They asked me about competing priorities. What would I do if while shelving a patron asked me a question.
