Explained the entire staff was laid off for winter, and now that summer was in full swing they were short staffed. The honesty of this foreshadowing threw me off. They asked for my availability.
All of the questions are along the lines of "tell me about a time when you..."
N/A- there questions are typical interview questions that probably have not changed since Starbucks opened (why did you choose Starbucks, example of difficult situation, time of leadership, where you see yourself in 5 years etc.). The interviews are usually informal, candidates are offered a drink and interviewed at a table in the store, but candidates should still dress for a semi-formal interview, many people (mostly teens) showed up in jeans and t-shirts that do not make a good first impression - wear business casual!

What do you know about Starbucks
They asked basic questions about my future ambitions, where I see myself with this company, what I’m expecting this company to do for me etc. they also asked the basic “what struggles have you had to overcome” or “tell me about a time when you didn’t agree with a supervisor, how did you resolve it”. Everything is pretty set as far as pay and benefits go, so there isn’t really any wiggle room for negotiations.
