HR Interviewer is very knowledgeable of the industry and knows the who's who in the field but all are Americans. He doesn't know where the best technical writers are produced (school or firm). Line of questioning from the start was salary negotiations, which is good as it cuts to the chase but at the same time reduced the entire process into a haggling fest.
Personality traits
As a former employee of the company, I had a lot of 'why do you want to come back to Altera?' and 'do you plan to leave again?',
There were no (super) difficult or unexpected questions.
Basic understanding of connecting a computer or any system to the internet using DHCP is all that is needed. They stress familiarity with MAC filtering and Wi-Fi troubleshooting, but none of which is done until the "Tier 2" level. This is not clarified in the interview unless you specifically ask about it, yet they posture that all reps must go through tier 1 and start with equal priority. This is also not the case as select people were given better schedule choice and opportunity while they tell you that you are preferred.
Don't remember exactly....about some development tool....when I said I've never heard of it, he jumped up to the whiteboard and proceeded to give me a little training session. He was thrilled and very happy with himself for answering the question.

All of them, they had the most intense interview I have ever been in, was a lot of memorization which i was caught off-guard by, i just did the best i could and had a nothing to lose mentality. Then we did a sales role-play call and I saved myself and killed it.
