Lead Technical Writer Interview Questions

There weren't really any difficult questions to me, all were pretty standard interview questions like "where do you see yourself in five years" and "what's your biggest weakness" or "why are you interested in this position," etc.

In-person interviews were followed by a later phone screening to see how you come across by phone, then an interview with a Director. In my case, the decision to hire seemed to have been made by the Director interview, as it was more of a salary negotiation than anything else. The in-person interview came across as me being sold on the company more than me selling myself, although YMMV. In many cases there is not a ton of formal management training for the Supervisors that conduct the department-level interviews so I would expect there is a lot of variation in approaches.
