The code challenge I performed was on string manipulation. The environment used was a website where I could select my preferred programming language and receive debugging output. However, there was no autocomplete provided. The interviewer could observe my work remotely. I believe the time allotted was roughly 45 minutes. The problem to be solved was to take a very long string and manually line break it at an arbitrary character length (e.g. 80). The line break must occur at a space, so as to not break up words. There were one or two other implementation requirements I no longer recall.
