I was asked what my salary expectations/preferences are. After interviewing, I was told that my salary expectations were higher than the budgeted amount for the role and that I should apply for other available roles at the organization that align with my desired salary. The job post provided no information about salary and neither did the HR representative. I emphasized that I am flexible on salary.
