There is not a tech interview. There is a tech test. It's basically kindergarten, where the teacher says, "Read the whole test and then begin the test" and on the last page it says, "Only answer this last question." In the test, you are to add to string resources. You won't want to, since it's already there. But as I said, this detail is designed to work against you, so add to the string resources. In all, several lies were told. First, "this is just a test to see if you can code your way out of a paper bag." It's not. Because if that were so, you would pass even if you forgot to change the string resource file. Second, "this is a test of your Android ability." It's not. It's a test of GitHub ability. It as much tests git (GitHub) as Android ability, since zipping up the code and sending it to them is adamantly refused. YOU WILL FAIL the test if you attempt to send them the code. You are to create a "PR" (pull request). No one will tell you what a "PR" is, it's just repeated again and again. The code is refused if sent outside of github. Even if you create and complete a pull request, be aware that if you did it incorrectly the first time, you will fail this portion of the test. Last lie, "It takes about an hour." It takes about three hours. One to do the actual Android part of it, and two more to realize that the results will NOT be accepted outside of a "PR." Again, no one will tell you what a "PR" is, which is why I say, it's as much a git / GitHub test as an Android test. The test involves dynamically adding a list item to a simple list view. And changing the textview on rotation. Again, don't forget to change the text of the text view to use the string resource like I said. And don't bother maintaining the list items themselves upon rotation. I know, you think you're going "above and beyond." You're not. You'll be examined on whether or not you followed instructions literally. Just imagine a dog in those dog shows, and treat the test as if you were nothing more than a dog running a course, and you might get the job.

Q1: 60min: Android related questions (Passing data between fragments, Life cycles etc) Q2: 60min: Behavioral Questions Q3:60min (lasted 90min with a hard stop): You are in a meetup where you find an inverstor's card with vague email Id written on it. Find out the first name of the investor and send and email. (Complete time waste question).

They give me a class with blank functions, and I had to fill them. the functions were about commuting the streak of a user in the app. It's not some sort of leetcode interview, it's just a matter of displaying the coding skills to the interviewer.
