I have called you here to replace an exceptional performer. When this employee is asked to do something its done quickly. They also work hard and with others well. How do you feel you can fill this persons shoes?
Honestly 2 most unexpected questions got me and probably had me look unprepared. It was something like describing a project and explaining the methodology I used, why I used said method and what was the outcome. Something similar to the above, but I had to state the technical specifications of the solution. So in general, please prepare solid solutions and explain them in a stepwise format. I tripped over these questions for some reason. Even if you have interview experience, please do NOT underestimate the exploitative potential of these 2 questions. I believe they got me, because I was ill prepared for them.

Set up workstation, troubleshoot common problems.
You purchased a new laptop for the CEO that he agreed to purchase. When you delivered the laptop to him he stated that this is not what he wanted. What would you do?
All questions were fair, nothing particularly challenging or difficult. Notable question asked by VP of Finance was "What would those who worked for you say about you if they were asked?".
