I was pretty prepared, so nothing really caught me off guard.
Explain a situation where you have come up with new ways of doing things in your previous workplace
There were two full pages of "what are your strengths and weaknesses" type canned questions in which the interviewer drilled through consecutively and took notes on. The questions skewed heavily toward the negative side (ie discussing past problems or mistakes and how you overcome challenges). It was a really tedious interview and the girl conducting the interview did not seem at all invested in it. I almost groaned out loud when she flipped the page over and tried to find a point to duck out, but ended up just shrugging through the rest with the same relative disinterest she had.
How do you work on developing your skills?
This was one of the strangest IT interviews I've had to date. There were zero technical questions, instead they presented me with a brand new (at least I hope it was) pair of shoes and asked me to do a mock up training session with one of the panel members on how to tie these shoes. I understand the point, they wanted to see how well I do under stress, and see how well I can work with co-workers. The other questions were the standard "tell us about why you applied for this position" and "what makes you the most qualified applicant" for this position.
