Coming from a large company, was I confident I understood how very different working for a small, start-up company would be, that everybody wore several hats, the spirit and energy were high, but the core of getting things done was taking ownership for doing them. They all wanted to be sure I was independent enough to own and drive whatever it was that was required for success - my own, and the company's. And they wanted to be certain BECAUSE they didn't want anybody hurt or frustrated; they last thing they wanted was to stall an individual's progress, career, or personal life.
