Questions were around my current and past experiences, focusing on skills and on understanding my past behaviours. Questions were quite average and tone conversational and friendly.
What have you found most different and most rewarding about management?
All questions began with 'Tell me about a time when...' most were around handling conflict, to the point where I began to feel the entire role was conflict management. Many people asked the exact same questions.
Where is your salary coming from?
No design related questions, they focus on coding process. It is very strange.
I had to take an hour assessment before even speaking with someone. Personally I think a phone screen first then an assessment, we (employees) want to know if it’s a fit for us just as much and it’s hard to do that without human interaction.
