I was submitted to this position by a recruiter who went above and beyond in representing me as a candidate as well as Diversified as a client. I had an amazing experience interviewing with who my future boss would have been. Great conversation and questions. Great vibe and positive energy all around during my in-person interview. My recruiter even got verbal offer within an hour of me leaving. A few days later he called me to congratulate me on a final offer as well as them coming extremely close to my asking salary (which was in range of what they were looking for). I was told I would have a background check application delivered to me the next day with my benefits package to sign off on 2 days thereafter. Fast forward a week and much back and forth between myself and the recruiter looking for updates. The delays were explained and all seemed understandable. I was told that I would have the promised application within 1 day and that when I receive it I should give my 2 weeks notice. The very next day I get a call from my recruiter telling me that they decided to not hire me. He also told me they decided they wanted me to come in at a salary that was 25k lower than what was promised but knew I'd never go for that. This was not at fault of the recruiter but entirely from the unprofessionalism of the company at hand. Spoke volumes of their internal operations and while I am now embarrassed to have to tell the few close people in my life that the job I got is no longer mine, I feel thankful that I didn't end up there. Obviously every department and location within a company can tell a completely different experience but truly proceed at your own risk and do NOT give notice unless you have every t crossed and i dotted. I could have been out of a job right now with the expectation that I was starting a new one due to false promises.
