When we began discussing the published writing clips I sent her as part of the application package, she asked me (and prefaced it by saying she hoped I wouldn't take it 'the wrong way") how much of what I had sent her I had actually written myself. I got the impression they wondered if I had sent someone else's work and tried to pass it off as mine.
