I felt positive about the company going into the interview, but after my interview with leadership, I was left confused. The majority of the conversation was centered around unrelated topics not related to the job or company. The last 10 minutes of the interview was focused on my experience and salary expectations. I was pigeon-holed into providing a salary expectation by sharing what I had previously made. I had informed them that I was flexible, and they expressed that they understood. I followed up with recruitment, and I received a rejection email. Later that day, the individual that interviewed me sent me an email asking if I was flexible with my salary expectation. I expressed that I was and that we had discussed it during the interview. I then never heard back from them again. Extremely disorganized and in the future, please do not force someone into providing you their salary expectations if you are going to use it as a tactic against them.
