Started off - tell me about yourself/career path so far Several behavioral questions- describe a time when using your people skills for education etc, describe a time when you encountered a difficult situation with a patient/family member and how did you deal with it. I did a lot of pre-prep for this interview, and used relevant situations that were complex that I had already encountered which I think helped a lot.

Most difficult issue was the interviewer being very upfront about the non-negotiable salary. It was unexpected but I guess I appreciated the preemptive warning.

Tell me about a time you had a difficult situation with a patient's family and how did you handle it.
"Some consumers may exhibit frustration, anger, or demanding behaviors that may complicate communication. Describe your skills and approach to managing conflict with a consumer. What are your strategies for de-escalation and delivering information that may be difficult to receive? Please provide an example of when you had to de-escalate a situation, including methods and tools you used."
