I applied online. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Ocean Acres, NJ) in Feb 2021
Interview
I applied on the Wegman's portal and about two day later I was invited to schedule a phone interview. The interview was an hour long and the HR representative used the STAR interview method which is not conversational. She informed me at the beginning that there would be awkward pauses after my answers as she typed them on her computer. My advice is to do your homework and research the typical questions asked. What I learned from Glassdoor reviews was very accurate so I was prepared. What I was not prepared for was the bait and switch of job advertised and what was proposed at the beginning of the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Asked if I would be open to ANY position at Wegmans due to the need throughout due to “rapidly changing times during the pandemic”.
2. Tell me a time you had a disagreement with a co-worker and what happened.
3. What did I not like about my last employer.
4. What was a difficult situation you had with a customer and how did you resolve it?
5. When have you gone above and beyond for a customer?
6. How would you handle a safety situation?
7. Who am I developing on my time and how.
8. How long do I plan to work there? ( I thought this was an odd question and could be perceived as ageist)

Interview
It was rather easy....they asked questions about availability and stuff like that. You do a phone interview (and then if they consider you) then an in person interview at the store..
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Rochester, NY) in Aug 2017
Interview
The interview process for Wegmans includes a minimum of 3 separate interviews. As you "pass" each interview, the next is scheduled, with roughly a week between each meeting. Although the interviews do not necessarily get more difficult question- or content-wise, the level of importance of the interviewers does increase progressively. At the same time, however, the interviews are nothing to worry about and the entire interview process with Wegmans was quite easy. Though, I'm sure it differs dependent on the specific job area that you're going into there.

Question 1
Why do you want to pursue a job in the bakery at Wegmans with the history, experience, and degrees you already have in another (completely different) field?
