I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Wake Forest, NC) in Jan 2021
Interview
they were nice but definitely intimidating at times. i applied online and they reached back within a couple weeks to schedule a phone interview for basic info. within a week they let you know if they want a virtual interview, and then an in-person. (for covid they had virtual included, not sure if they still do them).
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
tell me about yourself?
why should we hire you?
why do you want to work with us?
what are your strengths/weaknesses?
how would you handle an aggravated customer?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets in Aug 2022
Interview
They reached out quickly and scheduled the interview virtually. I appreciated how swift it was. It happened in the same day. Thankfully so, because I was prepared to work next day.
I applied online. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Liverpool, NY) in Aug 2022
Interview
Phone interview was scheduled via Workday and took place in the morning on the following day. At first it seemed very pleasant and I was enthusiastic but the person conducting the interview seemed like they were bored and clocked out. It was disarming but in an interview it’s better to swim upstream and do the best you can especially over the phone. Absolutely zero questions were asked about anything other than my availability, locations I’d be willing to work at, etc. The only moment I could have any input otherwise was at the very end when, after being asked basically yes or no questions for 15 minutes, deliver a 30 seconds sales pitch as to why I’d be a good fit for Wegmans. I’m ok with not being offered the position, it’s just stocking, but hands-down the most soulless interview I’ve ever been a part of.

Question 1
Literally no constructive interview questions were asked except a quick 30 seconds sales pitch at the end I had to make.
