I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Montvale, NJ) in Dec 2016
Interview
I applied online. Then received a phonecall to setup an interview. They called me 5 minutes late. The interviewer seemed inexperienced in the retail world. She was more of book smart person but no knowledge of retail business. Her questions were so tiring because she made being an entry level manager into a science. After answer all these questions. I received a rejection email two days later. I expected it because her tone of voice when I said what I wanted as a compensation. If you are veteran in the supermarket business, don't be discouraged by a rejection from Wegman. Interviewers don't know what they are losing and who strives under pressure."Action speaks louder than words"

Interview
Once you are invited to interview with Wegmans, you are pretty much guaranteed a job. The interview is easy, and you just need to make a good impression. The issue is that they seem to take a long time to get back to you if you don't have any family in management. My best friend and I had our initial interviews on the same day. His mom was a manager, and he was kept informed as to what was happening. He started his training 2 weeks after his interview. I, on the other hand, did not have any family in management, and was not called back for a month. I did call them a half dozen times during that period to find out what was happening, leaving messages with the recruiter, who never got back to me. They finally brought me in for a second interview, a month and a half after my first interview, and I got the job. In the end, it took two months from my first interview until when I started training.
